Chilling cocktails for your Halloween party

Unlike the witches I’ve dressed up as in the past, I don’t have hours to let my potions brew or run around the supermarket trying to find ridiculous ingredients that I’ll use once and then forget in the back of my cupboard. I’ve got Halloween treats and drinks to enjoy, I’m not a vampire that can wait forever for my cocktails to brew nor do I have the telekinetic ability to make drinks mix themselves on their own, so I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Halloween cocktails that have five ingredients or less!

If you’re looking for some easy drinks for your Halloween party, check out some of these bewitching beverages!

5 ingredients or less Halloween cocktails

Spice and cocktail

Blood peach bellini

Ice cold prosecco and peach sounds more like a summer drink, but with the coloring it easily belongs on the bar – and really, a bellini is a year-round cocktail.

Bellini ingredients:

  • 4 oz. prosecco
  • ½ oz. campari
  • 1 oz. white peach puree
  • ½ oz. grenadine

Combine all the ingredients and serve in champagne flutes.

Apple cider champagne

Another bubbly option that screams fall is this apple cider champagne. It may not be the most themed around the spooky holiday, but is definitely a tasty addition to the drink menu!

Champagne cocktail ingredients:

  • Dry champagne
  • Apple cider
  • Apple brandy
  • Pumpkin pie spice
  • Sugar

Mix the sugar and spice to make something very nice – or at least a nice cocktail rim. Mix on a small plate and set aside. Use the apple cider to help rim the glasses. Fill the flutes about three-quarters with champagne and then a splash each of the cider and brandy.

Witch’s Hat

This dark and tantalizing cocktail can be a bit tart but has the chocolate rim to add a bit of flavor and smoothness to it. Feel like a witch or wizard as you sip this flavorful and fancy cocktail.

Cocktail ingredients:

  • 2 oz. black vodka
  • 1 oz. black Chambord
  • 2 oz. dark cherry juice
  • Ice
  • Crushed chocolate wafers

Dip your martini glass into the wafer crumbs as the garnish and set aside. Grab a cocktail shaker and fill it two-thirds with ice and add vodka, Chambord, and cherry juice and shake for about 30 seconds. Strain into the martini glass and serve.

Morgue-a-rita

This chilly cocktail is as cold as the morgue and is definitely a hit with those who prefer tequila-based drinks. The fun garnish adds to the spooky appeal and the cherries and lime flavor combo will make you line up for another.

Margarita ingredients:

  • ½ c. fresh lime juice
  • 1 c. club soda
  • ¾ c. tequila
  • 3 oz. triple sec
  • 4 cherries
  • 4 tsp. Maraschino cherry syrup

For the gooey rim, you’ll want a ¼ cup light corn syrup and green food coloring.

Freeze the glasses so the goo sticks and juice the limes and the combine with the tequila and triple sec and ice and shake in a cocktail shaker until cold. Spear a cherry on a stirrer and pour a teaspoon the cherry syrup into the bottom of a glass and add the cocktail mix. Add a touch of club soda and serve.

Bloody orange

Want a splash of blood in your cocktail? Go all out with these fun drinks with blood oozing out of syringes (find online or in party stores). These fruity cocktails are perfect for any Halloween party, just make sure your guests know they’re ready to drink and not part of the decor!

Cocktail ingredients:

  • 4 oz. vodka
  • 2 oz. Licor43
  • 8 oz. Orangina
  • 3 oz. raspberry syrup
  • 1 orange

Make your own raspberry syrup by pureeing two cups of fresh berries and straining to remove pulpy bits and seeds. Pour into a saucepan and add ¼ c. sugar and heat over medium low until it’s thick. Set aside to cool before filling the syringes. Then, add vodka and Licor43 to a shaker filled with ice and shake for about 30 seconds. Add the Orangina and stir before placing the filled syringes in the drink and adding orange wedges as a garnish.

Milky Way Martini

End the night with something sweet and decadent as you enjoy the adult version of the popular Halloween candy. This rich, chocolatey cocktail is a great addition to a Halloween party, but they definitely pack a punch!

Martini ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz. Starbucks cream liqueur
  • 1 oz. Three Olives chocolate vodka
  • ½ oz. cream

Combine the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and shake until blended. Pour into a chilled martini glass and serve.
